Getting one penalty shot in a game is pretty rare. The same player getting two of them in the same game, in the same period, and just two minutes apart is pretty much unheard of. But that's what happened to Montreal's Max Pacioretty on Thursday night against the Vancouver Canucks. Incredibly, he failed to score on both of them.
On the first one, Pacioretty just completely missed the net, shanking the shot wide and firing it off the glass. On the second one he simply could not get any elevation to lift it over Roberto Luongo's leg.
If nothing else, he at least put himself in the record books. So he has that going for him.

It wasn't all bad news for Pacioretty and the Canadiens though. Montreal not only won the game, 5-2, but Pacioretty also recorded a hat trick in what might be one of the craziest single game stat lines you will ever see.
