Rangers vs. Canadiens, Game 4: Carl Hagelin scores shorthanded goal

So much for that power play chance, Montreal.

That particular play has been running for the entire Eastern Conference Final. Both the New York Rangers and the Montreal Canadiens have struggled mightily on the power play through three games, but the performance by the Habs in Game 4 was particularly impressive.

The Canadiens managed to win the offensive zone draw, and defenseman P.K. Subban began cheating to the left side of the ice to pick up a scoring chance. But that left a wide open space in the middle, so when the Canadiens lost the puck Carl Hagelin had all the room he needed for a clean breakaway.

Montreal is now 0-for-12 on the man advantage in the series, and now they just added a shorthanded goal against to that dismal record. Not exactly the production you're looking for when you're trying to reach the Stanley Cup Final.
