How to watch Canadiens vs. Rangers Game 6 online, TV schedule and preview

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

It's another chance for the Rangers to send the Canadiens packing and advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1994.

Back on home ice with yet another chance to win the Eastern Conference, the New York Rangers will host the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 of the Conference Final on Thursday night. Chances are it won't quite live up to the standard set by that absolutely insane Game 5 that took place Tuesday night in Montreal, but there's always a chance.

Henrik Lundqvist will be back in the Rangers crease after being pulled in the second period of Game 5, and coach Alain Vigneault expects him to bounce back.

"I expect him to play like he always does," Vigneault said. "I mean, he's a great goaltender. He strives when the pressure is on. He knows that tonight's a big game."

With John Moore out following a two-game suspension for a hit in Game 5, the Rangers will likely play Raphael Diaz in his place on the third defensive pairing. Vigneault was mum on whether or not Diaz or Justin Falk would play, but it looks like Diaz considering Falk has only played once since December.

Brandon Prust returns to the lineup for the Canadiens after his own suspension, which is a rather seamless swap for Dale Weise, who was injured on the hit by Moore and will miss the game with what coach Michel Therrien called a "body injury." Not upper body or lower body. Just body.

It's probably the most important hockey game played at Madison Square Garden since 1994, and it should be fun to see how the Broadway crowd reacts. Although hopefully for the Canadiens, not too much fun.
