The two best teams in hockey are giving hockey fans the ultimate gift -- a Game 7 to determine a spot in the Stanley Cup Final and one more game in what has been the best series, with some of the most mind-blowing hockey, of the entire postseason.
On Friday, their two biggest stars were goaltender Corey Crawford as he played what was perhaps his best game of the postseason and Patrick Kane, who absolutely dominated the third period and exchanged spectacular players with Los Angeles Kings defenseman Drew Doughty over the final 10 minutes.
After Doughty set up Alec Martinez with a behind-the-back pass to give Los Angeles a 3-2 lead, Kane managed to match him with a similar pass to set up Duncan Keith to tie the game. And then Kane did this for the game-winner.
He finished the night with two goals and an assist and after being held off the scoresheet in the first three games of the series, he now has eight points in the past three games.
Game 7 is nothing new to the Kings as they've already needed to win two on the road this season.
They're going to need one more.
