You may have heard of this kid named Jack Eichel from the Buffalo Sabres. Yes, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft has struck again, this time with what might be his most gorgeous goal of his professional career to date.
In the second period on the losing side of a 3-0 game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Eichel gave the Sabres some life with his fifth goal of the season. Taking a pass from Mike Weber behind the Buffalo blue line through the neutral zone, Eichel spun away from the check and turned on the jets.
Fighting off a stick, Eichel danced through two Tampa Bay defenders and cut to the middle of the ice, before potting a beautiful wrister past the glove hand of Lightning goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy.
