Recap: Montreal vs. Philadelphia

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Carey Price made 14 saves as Montreal downed Philadelphia, 3-1, at Bell Centre.
Andrei Kostitsyn, Mike Cammalleri and Marc-Andre Bergeron lit the lamp for the Canadiens, who posted their second straight win after losing four in a row.
"You get nervous when it happens," Price said when asked about the low shot total in the contest. "That's definitely different, but it was nice to sit back and watch us play. After the last two games, I think we've played our best defensive hockey all year, and we got two wins from that. Hopefully we can add to it and keep up our offense from now on."
Danny Briere picked up the lone score for the Flyers, who have lost five consecutive games and suffered their eighth defeat in nine.
Brian Boucher allowed all three goals on only 13 shots for his fifth defeat of the season for Philadelphia, which fell to 0-2 under new head coach Peter Laviolette.
Briere outraced a pair of Canadiens defensemen to the puck and roofed a shot past Price for a 1-0 Flyers lead 7:28 into the contest.
Kostitsyn tied the game at the 6:20 mark of the second period, on Montreal's third shot of the game, then Cammalleri finished off a 2-on-1 break with Maxim Lapierre at 14:04 for a 2-1 Habs edge.
Bergeron's blast from the right point on a Montreal power play with 8:55 to play in the contest gave the home team an insurance tally. The Flyers couldn't come up with a goal despite an extra skater for the last 1:53 and a man advantage for the final 1:18 of regulation.
"The second goal was the result of a turnover. We need to get pucks deep and get in on the forecheck. We can't turn the puck over like that and expect to get away with it," said Laviolette. "I didn't think we did a very good job of getting the puck to the net on offense. We didn't attack the net enough. I definitely think we were a fragile team tonight."
The Canadiens have won 10 of the last 11 against the Flyers since November, 2006...The Flyers played without forward Dan Carcillo, who was serving the first of his four-game suspension...Philly has not scored more than two goals in any of its five losses and has tallied just seven times in that span.
