Atlanta Thrashers (15-9-3) at Calgary Flames (18-8-3), 9:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - Goals have been a little harder to come by for the Atlanta Thrashers as of late, but that hasn't been the case the last two times they have played the Calgary Flames.
Ilya Kovalchuk and Atlanta will try to get back on the winning track tonight versus Calgary at Pengrowth Saddledome.
The Thrashers have been held to two goals or less in four of their last five games since a 6-4 victory over Carolina on November 27. Still, that win over the Hurricanes was part of a four-game winning streak by Atlanta, which has lost two of three since that run ended.
The club was in Toronto on Monday and saw the game scoreless after 20 minutes, but the Maple Leafs potted five even-strength goals in the second period on the way to handing the Thrashers a 5-2 setback.
Ondrej Pavelec allowed all five goals on 22 shots before Johan Hedberg relieved him to start the third frame. Hedberg ended with six saves.
"We were really just got outplayed in the trench areas," said Thrashers defenseman Ron Hainsey.
Bryan Little and Marty Reasoner had the goals for the Thrashers, who fell to 1-1-0 on a four-game road trip that ends in Vancouver on Thursday. Atlanta had a four-game road win streak end and is 9-3-1 as the guest this year.
The Thrashers, though, have netted 11 goals in their last two meetings with the Flames -- both victories -- with Kovalchuk netting four of those goals. Little notched a pair of tallies in the previous meeting with Calgary, a 5-2 home triumph on March 8.
Atlanta has never won in Calgary, however, losing all four matchups there since it entered the league in 1999-2000.
Pavelec has never before faced the Flames, while Hedberg is 2-0-0 with a 2.00 goals-against average in two starts versus them.
Calgary returns home after wrapping a six-game road trip with a 2-1 loss at Los Angeles on Monday. Still, the Flames went 4-2-0 on the swing and are 11-3-3 as the road team this year. They are just 7-5-0 at home, though, and have lost four of their last six at Pengrowth Saddledome.
"Overall it was a good trip but you always want more," Jarome Iginla, who has eight goals and eight assists in 10 career games versus Atlanta, told the Flames' Web site. "We played a pretty good game and didn't get much out of it."
Curtis Glencross scored the only goal on Monday for the Flames, while Miikka Kiprusoff allowed two goals on 16 shots in the loss. Kiprusoff is still 5-2-1 with a 1.24 GAA over his last eight starts, and 2-1-0 with a 2.67 GAA lifetime versus Atlanta.
Calgary was without defensemen Cory Sarich and Robyn Regehr due to unknown injuries.
