(Sports Network) - With their lengthy road losing streak now behind them, the Blue Jackets can now focus on trying to pick up back-to-back wins for the first time in nearly two months.

Columbus will try to accomplish that feat tonight versus the Flames at Pengrowth Saddledome, as Calgary looks to get back on track after having its five-game winning streak snapped.

The Blue Jackets earned their first road win since November 19 on Thursday night in Edmonton, beating the Western Conference's worst team by a 4-2 margin to halt a club-record 13-game road losing streak.

"All we want is a win, it doesn't matter against who we get it. It was a desperate game for both teams," said goaltender Mathieu Garon, who made 24 saves. "We got the momentum early in the game and we kept it for 60 minutes, which is something we've been lately having trouble with."

Kristian Huselius scored for the third straight contest, netting the game- winner early in the third period. R.J. Umberger, Antoine Vermette and Jan Hejda all added goals for Columbus, which also snapped a four-game overall skid.

The Blue Jackets, though, have won just twice in their last 15 games and haven't posted a winning streak since three straight victories from November 13-19.

Tied for 13th in the West, ahead of only Edmonton, Columbus is 7-13-4 on the road and ends a three-game swing tonight.

The Flames had their winning streak end on Wednesday in a loss to the Wild. After allowing just a single goal in each of its previous five victories, Calgary was handed a 4-1 setback by Minnesota.

After going 11 games without a goal, Olli Jokinen scored in his second straight, while Miikka Kiprusoff allowed all four goals on 35 shots.

The Flames fell into a tie with the Canucks for first place in the Northwest Division. Calgary plays four of its next five at home, with the lone exception being Saturday's road test in Vancouver.

The Flames have won three straight as the host and are 12-7-2 at Pengrowth Saddledome this year.

Calgary has won four straight at home versus Columbus and four of the last six meetings overall, including two of three this year. Jarome Iginla has a goal and four assists in the three meetings, with Kiprusoff starting two of them. However, backup Curtis McElhinney was in net for the most recent contest, a 4-3 shootout win by the Flames.

Kiprusoff is 13-5-2 with a 2.06 goals-against average in his career versus Columbus and is likely to start tonight.

Rick Nash has two goals and four points versus Calgary this year, but Columbus' leading scorer hasn't notched a goal in seven straight games, recording five assists in that time.

Garon hasn't started versus Calgary this year but is 7-4-0 with a 2.19 GAA versus them lifetime. Steve Mason has made the three starts, going 1-1-1 to fall to 3-2-2 against them lifetime with a 2.52 GAA.
