Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Rookie James van Riemsdyk scored two goals to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings in preseason action at theWachovia Center.
Danny Briere, Mika Pyorala and Dan Carcillo also scored for the Flyers, who played their first preseason game on home ice. Ray Emery allowed two goals on 30 shots in the victory.
Jonathan Ericsson and Kris Newbury tallied for the Red Wings while Chris Osgood made 25 saves on 30 shots in the loss.
