Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Steven Stamkos scored twice and added an assist, as Tampa Bay closed its preseason slate with a 5-1 win over the Atlanta Thrashers.
Martin St. Louis picked up a goal and two assists and Vincent Lecavalier registered three helpers for the Lightning, who received 20 saves from Mike Smith in net.
Zenon Konopka and Mattias Ohlund also found the back of the net for the Bolts, who open their 2009-10 season on October 3 in Atlanta.
Chris Thorburn scored the lone marker for Atlanta, which also opens its season October 3. Ondrej Pavelec surrendered five goals on 26 shots in the loss.
