Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Antti Miettinen netted the game-winning goal in the shootout, as Minnesota topped Philadelphia, 5-4, in the final preseason game for both teams at Wachovia Center.
Martin Havlat, Brent Burns, Cal Clutterbuck and James Sheppard scored in regulation for the Wild, who open their 2009-10 season in Columbus on Saturday.
Minnesota netminder Niklas Backstrom allowed four goals against 39 shots through all of regulation plus the overtime period.
Mika Pyorala, Claude Giroux, Mike Richards and Danny Briere scored for the Flyers, who will begin the regular season in Raleigh on Friday night against the Hurricanes.
Flyers starting goaltender Ray Emery played the first 31-plus minutes and allowed one goal on 10 shots before taking a seat to allow playing time for Johan Backlund. Backlund, filling in for injured backup Brian Boucher, yielded three goals on 14 shots.
