The NHL suspended the Hawks' Niklas Hjalmarsson for two games for a hit on Buffalo's Jason Pominville that had him carted off the ice on a stretcher.
Patrick Kane scored a goal in front of his hometown crowd, and Marian Hossa added two scores for the Blackhawks.
