Maybe this playoff elimination for the Preds feels different in part because it happened far away in Phoenix, in the dead of night. Not only are local hockey fans feeling down because of the loss, but we're dragging due to lack of sleep, too.
The finality of last night's playoff elimination is just starting to set in for Preds fans, as a team which had so much promise for a run at the 2012 Stanley Cup has instead been eliminated by a squad which simply beat them at their own game.
Sometimes the other team has a great goalie, too.

The Kentucky Derby may have been Saturday, but it's the Nashville Predators who have a thoroughbred chomping at the bit, ready to bust loose.
The Coyotes may finally have an owner on the eve of a possible Western Conference Final berth.
As they prepare for Game 5 tonight in Phoenix (9:00 p.m. Central on NBC Sports), the Nashville Predators hope to get back to their winning ways by icing their best possible lineup.
