Working in the Sabres' favour is the fact that the Northeast Division remains in flux, with all three of the Eastern Conference Canadian clubs in various stages of rebuilding or retooling. Challenging Boston is probably not going to be on the agenda, but Buffalo could surprise with some help from their unheralded young talent.
