Johan Hedberg hit bottom in March with 27 goals allowed in ten games. The rest of the New Jersey Devils didn't look all that good in the process, winning only one game in regulation. After reviewing the 27 goals allowed, the fault lies with both.
Like the New Jersey Devils, Johan Hedberg started February off great and ended it awfully. What happened to Moose? The seventeen goals he allowed in six appearances - sixteen in four of them - get reviewed in the hopes of finding some answers.
With Johan Hedberg finishing the 2013 season with very poor numbers, now is the time to start reviewing the goals he allowed in attempt to dig deeper into what drove his stats down. This post deals with the 7 goals allowed in January and April.
Martin Brodeur has an overall save percentage at 90% and with the New Jersey Devils now out of the playoffs, the goaltending may be a reason why they failed. In looking at Brodeur's save percentage splits by situation, it's not as simple as it looks.
