Who is really the better defenseman?
What a season it's been.
In an unusual turn of events, we'll be covering the final game of the NHL season even though it doesn't involve the Habs directly.
The NHL awards are often awarded to people who don't deserve them, so we decided to have our own awards. Nine members of EOTP voted on the awards, each person voting for three people for each award, 3 points for a 1st place vote, 1 for 3rd place.
There's been a lot written this year about whether or not P.K. Subban deserves the Norris Trophy during his spectacular season. Spoiler: He does.
In his first press conference after suffering a season-ending Achilles' tendon laceration after he was hit by Matt Cooke, Erik Karlsson suggested that even though Cooke wasn't likely trying to, Cooke "[knew] exactly what he's doing out there."
Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray announced that defenseman Erik Karlsson will not be available for the remainder of the 2013 season due to a lacerated Achilles Tendon.
The NHL has determined it will not enforce supplemental discipline on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Matt Cooke for the play that resulted in Erik Karlsson's lacerated Achilles Tendon.
It's easy to say Matt Cooke's at fault for the injury to Erik Karlsson's Achilles tendon, but the evidence shows us that this was not intentional.
Was it a dirty play or an accident?
