Recap: St. Louis vs. Dallas

Sports Network | October 25, 2009

St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Marty Turco made 27 saves as the Dallas Stars downed the St. Louis Blues, 4-1, at Scottrade Center.

Loui Eriksson had a goal and an assist while Brad Richards added two assists for the Stars, who remain undefeated in regulation on the road this season and are 4-0-3 as the visitors.

Alex Pietrangelo had the lone goal while Ty Conklin was charged with four goals on 31 shots for the Blues, who have lost five of their last seven games.

"We lost our composure and took a few penalties," said Blues defenseman Darryl Sydor. "We just have to stay strong for 60 minutes and work on it."

After a scoreless first period that saw Turco make 10 saves and Conklin eight, the Stars lit the lamp twice in the second period.

James Neal skated the puck into the St. Louis end down the right wing and left a drop pass for Richards, who dished it back to Neal down low for a quick shot past Conklin 7:56 into the frame.

Eriksson's wrister on the power play with 9:43 to play in the second gave Dallas a two-goal lead.

Turco needed to make just five stops in the second period to keep St. Louis off the board.

Tom Wandell made it a 3-0 game at the 4:48 mark of the third period while Brian Sutherby scored on a snap shot halfway through the frame for a 4-0 lead.

Pietrangelo's first goal of his NHL career with 3:50 left broke the shutout.
