The Syracuse Crunch completed a weekend sweep in Springfield on Saturday night. After getting the series jump with a dominant 5-2 Friday night win, the nucleus of last year's Calder Cup champions came right back with a 5-3 victory over the Falcons.
The second round of the AHL playoffs gets underway for the Crunch tonight in Springfield Massachusetts agains t the #2 seed in the conference, the Falcons.

The Springfield Falcons fell just short on Thursday night against the Monarchs in Manchester, NH. David Meckler's power play goal was the difference in the 2-1 Monarchs win. The Falcons lead the best of five series 2-1 with Game 4 set for Saturday.
