Switzerland has a solid defense and they did not play in a strong European qualifying group and were drawn into one of the weaker World Cup groups.

They are playing in Group E this summer along with France, Ecuador, and Honduras and they have the third best odds to win the group.

The team does lack world-class talent, but they are flying under the radar this summer and they did beat Brazil in a World Cup friendly tune-up last year.

They do not have a dynamic attacker and their lead scorer in World Cup qualifying was a defender.

World Cup Prediction for Switzerland

The toughest qualification match for the Swiss will be playing France while they will not win they may play to a draw. Facing Ecuador and Honduras they will take away three points from each since they are a much better squad.

France will win the group, but Switzerland will come in second and advance to the knockout stage. That is where their World Cup ride will end, as they have a good chance to face Argentina in the round of 16 and they will not win that match.
