Part shuffleboard, part bocce ball, part ... something unique, Curling is played on ice and the participants slide large stones toward a target in attempts to score or knock the other team's stones away. It takes limited athletic ability to participate, and can be played completely drunk, if you so choose. Which makes the sport all the more endearing: All of us could quite literally go out tomorrow and start playing. It takes limited athletic ability, but a lifetime to master. Sort of like chess, on ice. You'll want to watch though; it's mesmerizing.
