Palermo had the better of the chances at Siena, but failed to make the home side pay. All in all, a dull match between the bottom clubs of Serie A.
There's only so many times a girl can write the same match report: Palermo fail to score. Palermo fail to score. Hey, Palermo fail to score. Ok, to be fair to the rosanero, they managed a goal against Torino, and had that 4-1 domination over Chievo Verona. But they must have used up the majority of their goals for the season, because although they're finally able to keep from leaking them, they just can't find them.
Fabrizio Miccoli did his damndest to find the net against Siena, but his shots were either too high, too wide, or blocked. A little precision from both him and Josip Iličić would go a long way toward pulling Palermo out of the relegation zone. Perhaps next week?
Siena are in an even worse spot, with this draw taking them to just three points on the season. The draw may have put an end to a three game losing streak, but if the robur are going to overcome their six-point deduction, cautious football isn't going to cut it.
Now if you'll excuse me, it's time to go work on my time machine. I've got 90+ minutes of life I'd really like to get back.
