Gabriele Maltinti
This might be a battle mired in the relegation zone, but both Atalanta and Siena play better football than the standings indicate. Still, Siena should have the edge in Bergamo.
If Cagliari - Bologna is a virtual regulation six-pointer, Atalanta - Siena is an actual one -- but with better football. Atalanta sit in 18th, but if it weren't for their -2 point deduction to start the season, they'd be near midtable, up with the likes of AC Milan and Pescara (I just really like lumping those two sides together). But Atalanta aren't nearly as solid as they were last season, due, at least in part, to a lack of goals from Germán Denis, who's had just two thus far. It doesn't help that he and Maxi Moralez just don't seem to be clicking at the moment.
As for Siena, they're still coming back from their -6 point deduction, which has left them with just 2 points on the board. The robur are certainly better than bottom, particularly since they've had a tough schedule to begin the season. Their last two matches were losses to Lazio and Juventus, but after Atalanta they face Palermo and Genoa. The match in Bergamo should be a good jumping off point for Siena to start a run toward safety.
Atalanta Injuries and Suspensions:
Gianpaolo Bellini, Davide Biondini, Daniele Capelli, Adriano Ferreira Pinto and Ivan Radovanovic (injured)
This may help explain why Atalanta are in the drop zone.
Siena Injuries and Suspensions:
Andrea Campagnolo and Matias Martinez (injured), Ze Eduardo and Serse Cosmi (suspended).
What fun is there in watching Siena if Cosmi's not around?

Venue: Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, Bergamo
TV: Sky Calcio 6 (Italy)
