Siena Vs. Juventus, Preview: Battle of the Bianconeri

Will Siena manage to take advantage of Juventus's weaknesses?

It's a meeting of the bianconeri in Tuscany on Sunday, with Antonio Conte set to look on from the stands at the club that caused him such trouble in the past few months. Although his touchline ban was reduced to four months, he'll still be paying penance for his time spent managing Siena.

Siena, too, continue doing time. If it weren't for their -6 deduction to start the season, they'd have eight points, hanging out with the likes of Fiorentina and AS Roma in midtable. Instead, they're down in the relegation zone, mingling with Cagliari.

Juventus, of course, remain top of the table, and hope the weekend's results allow them to pull away from the bothersome Napoli. Their Champions League tie with Shakhtar Donetsk, in which the Ukrainians left with their share of the spoils, will likely result in a bit of squad rotation -- but the Old Lady should be cautious in just how much they choose to shuffle their squad. After all, the pairing of Fabio Quagliarella and Sebastian Giovinco against Fiorentina resulted in a terribly drab draw two weeks back.

Will Siena manage to emulate -- or even surpass -- their Tuscan rivals? Last week's loss to Lazio must have come as something of a disappointment, as the robur really didn't do much wrong, besides, you know, conceding goals. Prior, they'd had a three-match unbeaten run, including a 2-0 victory over Inter Milan at the San Siro. The Juventus defence isn't exactly impregnable, and with Leonardo Bonucci out for an accumulation of yellows, it might be even more frail.

This likely won't be the match to end Juve's unbeaten streak. But, considering the visitors' midweek adventures, Siena can certainly manage to steal their share of the points.
