It took just three minutes for Walter Samuel to score the first goal in the Derby della Madonnina, off a free kick from Esteban Cambiasso.
Just three minutes had passed in the first Derby della Madonnina of the Serie A season, and already, Inter Milan have established their dominance over rivals AC Milan.
As red and black section of the crowd booed and hissed, Antonio Cassano found himself bundled off the ball by his former teammates. Massimiliano Allegri gave the referee an earful, but nothing was stopping the awarding of a free kick. It was Esteban Cambiasso who stepped up, sending a wonderful curving strike over the heads of the Milan defence. Walter Samuel easily escaped Mattia De Sciglio to head in the first goal for the nerazzurri.
But will it be the last? Inter started the match by relentlessly pressing their cross-town rivals, and with ten minutes now gone, they haven't let up. Even if Milan make it past the halfway line, they're met by plenty of Inter defenders, causing them to shake in their boots.
