Juventus Vs. AS Roma 2012, Serie A Week 6: Old Rival Zeman Tackles The Old Lady

Juventus will be looking to extend their impressive unbeaten record and preserve their Serie A lead against a Jekyll and Hyde Roma side.

The Zdenek Zeman show rolls into Turin as the unpredictable Giallorossi try to usurp the league leaders and snap their 44 game unbeaten streak. There is certainly no love lost between the Czech tactician and the Bianconeri who have been exchanging side swipes and barbs at each other for years now.

Say what you will about Zeman, but his teams definitely bring entertainment value and normally lots of goals, but not always at the right end. That problem was all too evident in midweek, when his side let yet another lead slip against Sampdoria. In truth, you never know which Roma will turn up. It could be the one that implodes at home against Bologna, or the one that expertly defeats Inter on the road.

Juventus dropped their first points in midweek, but still emerged from Florence with a point. Despite an upcoming Champions League game with Shakhtar Donetsk, Antonio Conte, through stand-in coach Massimo Carrera will play his big guns, including playmaker Andrea Pirlo.

For the visitors, Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is back in the squad after injury. Zeman has vowed to stick by Maarten Stekelenburg, after the Dutch keeper's mistake contributed to his side dropping two points in midweek. The Roma custodian will need to recover his form quickly, otherwise the Giallorossi could be on the end of a 4-0 thrashing, just like they were last season.
