Everton-Liverpool Meet In Merseyside Derby: Marouane Fellaini Ruled Out With Hamstring Injury

Everton, who finally recorded their first win against Birmingham City in their last league match, is set to face Liverpool on Sunday. The Toffees’ Merseyside rivals sit in the relegation zone, hoping that a change in ownership will help reverse their spell of bad luck.

While Liverpool have amassed a long list of injuries to essential players, Everton also have many key players consigned to the sidelines. Steven Pienaar and Jack Rodwell are no-goes for the weekend’s match, while Louis Saha and Phil Jagielka are doubts.

Adding to Everton’s woes is the injury of midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who picked up a hamstring injury in Belgium’s Euro qualifying match with Austria. Fellaini netted a goal in the 4-4 draw, but is now expected to be out for six weeks.
