Diego Maradona Will Consider Managerial Offer From Premier League Club

Diego Maradona will be in London next month to seriously consider an offer from a top flight English club, according to Eurosport. The two main daily newspapers in Argentina, La Nacion and Clarin, have both quoted the former Argentina national manager as saying:

"In February I'm going to England to listen to a firm offer. If they convince me, I may take it up".

Further reports from Clarin rumor the club to be Fulham while Blackburn and Aston Villa have also been discussed as possible destinations for the man who led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup title as a player. Maradona, now 50, abruptly closed the pressed conference in which he was discussing his managerial future with:

"I'm not desperate (but) I know that some day I'll be the coach again of some team".

Maradona has now been out of coaching since the 2010 World Cup in which he lead his country to the quarter-finals of the tournament where La Albiceleste suffered a 4-0 defeat to eventual semi-finalists Germany. For now at least, fans of Maradona will have to wait a few more weeks until they're able to find out where next the Argentine will leave his mark.
