You know, despite the penalty-that-wasn't-a-penalty, Rafael da Silva is having quite a good game at right back for Manchester United. He's been one of their only halfway competent defenders, having come across to protect his centrebacks several times already, and has also gotten himself involved fairly effectively in their attack as they try to break down Blackpool's stubborn rearguard. Meanwhile, Nemanja Vidic is definitely not having a good game. He's been taken to the cleaners repeatedly by striker Luke Varney, nearly scored an own goal, and now he's wandering around clutching what appears to be a bloody nose, looking very sorry for himself.
Meanwhile, star Blackpool man Charlie Adam has picked up a yellow card for flattening Nani out by the near touchline after United started to pile a little bit more pressure on. Ryan Gigg's introduction at the expense of Darren Gibson has given the visitors an extra outlet on the left side, and that's led to a rather interesting spell of attacking play by United, with Giggs smashing into the side netting and Paul Scholes drawing a fine save out of Richard Kingson. Sir Alex Ferguson isn't happy, though, and he's going to switch things up again, bringing Javier Hernandez in for the disappointing Wayne Rooney. Ian Holloway will answer with Matt Phillips, on for Varney. United have less than half an hour to salvage the game and protect their unbeaten record.
