Lazio vs. Fiorentina hasn't been a very good match. The first half was universally declared to be exceptionally poor, and if you don't believe me, have a look at twitter. Thankfully, a silly mistake by the Viola has given some life to the match, as Lazio are now ahead and the match will almost be forced to open up.
In the 67th minute, Per Koldrup committed a silly foul on Libor Kozak in the box, resulting in the referee showing Koldrup a yellow card and granting a penalty to Lazio. It was a stone cold booking and penalty, and Fiorentina would have no complaints. The man who was fouled was the man who stepped up, and Kozak took well from the spot, putting his team up 1-0 after 68 minutes.
It looked like both teams were rather content with a draw before the goal...or at least unable to really chase a win. It's been a pretty sloppy match. Now, we're likely to see Fiorentina get a little more ambitious, which could open up some opportunities for Lazio.
