Getafe Vs Real Madrid: Madrid Race Into Two-Goal Lead But Parejo Pulls One Back For Getafe

Real Madrid have put themselves firmly in the driving seat with a superb second goal, scored by Mesut Ozil. Angel Di Maria created the goal with an inch-perfect pass which dissected the Getafe defence. Ozil took the ball expertly into his stride before rounding Codina and slotting in from a tight angle. A clinical strike as Real Madrid threaten to run away with the match before half-time.

Getafe have yet to test Real Madrids unusual centre-back pairing of Sergio Ramos and Raul Albiol and I can’t remember Iker Casillas having a save to make in this opening half hour. Michel needs to find a way of getting players like Parejo, Manu and Pedro Rios on the ball.

And just as I type that, Dani Parejo glides his way through the Madrid defence and curls a delicious shot just inside Casillas’ near post to put Getafe right back in it. 2-1 and this match has all the makings of a thriller in the Coliseum!
