It's just 20 or so minutes before both sides take the Old Trafford pitch which gives us just enough time to take a look at the team sheets, fail to correctly predict what will happen and top off your morning coffee, tea or pre match pint, depending on where you're at in the world.
Manchester United - 4-4-2 - Kuszczak - Rafael, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra - Nani, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Ryan Giggs - Dimitar Berbatov, Javier Hernandez
Liverpool - 4-5-1 (Depending on the roaming ways of Mr. Gerrard) - Pepe Reina - Martin Kelly, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger, Fabio Aurelio - Dirk Kuyt, Raul Meireles, Lucas, Maxi Rodriguez, Steven Gerrard - Fernando Torres
While it would be silly to heavily favor one side over the other in a Cup match, Manchester United should be favored at home and with so much recent uncertainty surrounding Liverpool. For United, man of the moment Javier Hernandez will start up front but the exclusion of defender Nemanja Vidic looks to place one or two question marks over the head of the deputizing Jonny Evans.
Kenny Dalglish looks to have club Captain Steven Gerrard in a roaming and forward central role up front partnering Fernando Torres. Either that, or Dalglish will start Gerrard in a more conservative five-man midfield. My bet is on the former. Now moments from the start, all eyes turn to matters in the pitch.
