Manchester United Vs. Liverpool: Second Half Substitutions, Liverpool Still Looking For Equalizer

It's still a tight and compact match at Old Trafford as 25 minutes remain. The home side lead 1-0 but Liverpool have refused to give up as Ryan Babel and Fabio Aurelio have both tested Tomasz Kuszczak in the United goal. Kenny Dalglish has used two of his three substitutions in the form of Ryan Babel and Jonjo Shelvey replacing the poor Raul Meireles and Maxi Rodriguez.

Sir Alex Ferguson has also elected to make a change when he brought on Anderson for Darren Fletcher who had been cautioned earlier in the match. As both sides have stepped up the pressure, it's been Pepe Reina who has been called upon to make a few saves in succession to keep the game close. Saves from Dimitar Berbatov, Javier Hernandez and Patrice Evra in a mad few seconds in the Liverpool box has kept the score 1-0 as the game has turned open and end to end. In the 75th minute, former Liverpool striker Michael Owen has replaced Javier Hernandez for Manchester United.
