AS Roma finally look like a club ready to compete for, if not the scudetto, at least the European slots. Bojan Krkic scored his first goal for Roma in the 20th minute, and now it's Pablo Osvaldo, making it three goals in three starts for the club, and giving the home side a 2-0 lead in the 31st minute.
This goal was slightly questionable, however, as it appeared Osvaldo was offside. Another Bojan effort forced a save from a diving Andrea Consigli, with the keeper then punching away the resulting corner. It was instantly headed back in, falling to Osvaldo. Consigli erred in attempting to push the ball away immediately, and the Roma forward was able to easily go around the falling keeper to put the ball in the back of the net.
Two in the first half doesn't seem to be enough for Roma, however. Miralem Pjanić wants his first goal for the club, forcing yet another save from Consigli with his effort in the 35th minute.
