Christophe Jallet was brought in by Paris Saint-Germain to shore up the home side's defence. They withdrew striker Kevin Gameiro for the defender, obviously hoping that they could weather the storm Lyon were going to throw at them as injury time approached. Instead, Jallet has secured victory for the hosts, which I guess is one way of doing things, although I doubt Antoine Kombouare really had that in mind.
A lovely delivery by Nene from a free kick found Jallet peeling away from his marker at the far post, and unlike his teammates (non-Pastore-edition), he finished clinically, blistering a strong volley straight past Hugo Lloris and into the back of the net. There was nothing the goalkeeper could have done, and 2-0 meant game over. After wasting a host of chances to kill the match off, PSG could relax after a well-earned victory, and Lyon will be left ruing several opportunities to equalise.
