Could this be the first European Championships playoff ever to feature two players who currently play in Major League Soccer? Robbie Keane starts as usual for Ireland, while Joel Lindpere has made his return to the Estonia bench after refusing call-ups that conflicted with his club's schedule. Ireland and Estonia aren't exactly the best teams remaining in qualifying, but while Ireland has an abysmal record in playoffs, they're favored to advance through this one. Giovanni Trappatoni's biggest choice was to pick Jonathan Walters over Simon Cox, with the rest of the lineup being pretty straight-forward. Here are the lineups.
Ireland Lineup (4-4-2): Given; Kelly, Dunne, St. Ledger, Ward; McGeady, Whelan, Andrews, Duff; Walters, Keane
Estonia Lineup (4-5-1): Pareiko; Piiroja, Kruglov, Jääger, Stepanov; Dmitrijev, Kink, Vunk, Vassiljev, Klavan; Ahjupera
