The Republic of Ireland have taken a 13th minute lead in their Euro 2012 qualifying match against Estonia, making the Irish color commentator practically wet his pants in excitement. The goal came courtesy of some rather poor defending by the home side, with the Estonian defense giving Aidan McGeady way too much room on the left flank. The Spartak Moscow winger took plenty of advantage, chipping the ball over the heads of the Estonians, with Keith Andrews rising up to head it into the back of the net.
The goal has made the match infinitely more interesting, as Estonia are now pouring forward in hopes of an equalizer. Giovanni Trappatoni's side, meanwhile, are set to sit back and absorb the pressure. If Ireland manage to concede, I'm absolutely positive all talk will return to the pain of Paris, so for the sake of the entire footballing world, the Boys in Green need to keep the lead.
