Surprise! Argentina are very much in control early in their CONMEBOL World Cup 2014 qualifier against Bolivia. With the Albiceleste playing at home and with Ricky Alvarez and Javier Pastore introduced into the team, there are a lot of very good passers on the pitch. There's nothing in the way of wide play, but who needs wide play?!? Pretty passes through the center are where it's at.
Argentina aren't giving Bolivia a sniff in the opening 10 minutes, but that's hardly an indication of how well they're playing. They almost always have more possession than their opponents, and when Bolivia have pulled off big upsets, they've done it with fantastic play on the counter.
More or less, what I'm saying is there's currently nothing to report. In a lot of games, one team having 80 percent of the ball in the opening 10 minutes would be a story. This is not one of those games. Argentina doesn't have a clear-cut scoring chance yet, so this is basically par for the course.
