We're up and running in Colombia, where the home side are met by the iconic blue and white of Argentina, who are led by superstars Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain. Realistically, they might as well have nobody else on the pitch, because for some reason Alejandro Sabella has decided that Colombia merit three defensive midfielders, two of whom don't even play in Europe.
The fact that Argentina are playing to pretty much shut everything down is fairly evident from the play thus far - the visitors are calmly keeping possession but not doing much with it, and the hosts' attacking play has been somewhat stymied by the amount of bodies clogging up the midfield. Nobody's made much of a mark so far, which is disappointing considering that one of these teams is Argentina and is starting two of the best forwards in world football. Come on, game. You can be more entertaining than this.
