Portugal Vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina, Euro 2012 Qualifying Playoffs: Nani Goal Is A Stunner

Bosnia-Herzegovina find themselves in real trouble in their Euro 2012 qualifying playoff against Portugal in Lisbon. After a credible 0-0 draw in Sarejevo on Friday, the visitors looked plenty capable of causing an upset, but two quick goals from Portugal have rendered that particular dream fairly unlikely (although Edin Dzeko has since pulled one back). The first was a typical Cristiano Ronaldo free kick. The second was something even more special...

Yep, that's Manchester United winger Nani picking up the ball in the centre of the pitch, finding himself but with no choice but to shoot from 40 yards and then banging the ball straight into the top corner, leaving Asmir Begovic absolutely no chance. Nani, of course, is no stranger to superb long-range efforts in important games - this was similar to his strike against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Anyway, if that goal turns out to be the winner, it's worthy of entrance to this summer's tournament.
