Jurgen Klinsmann's relatively short -- but not nearly as short as we'd like to believe -- tenure as the United States men's national team coach has been ... let's call it bumpy. His player selection has been roundly called into question. The results have left much to be desired. In general, we've seen a step back without any promise of a step forward.
On at least one sequence in Tuesday's win over Slovenia, we at least saw a glimpse of what could be. The build up to Fabian Johnson's drawn penalty featured all 10 USA outfield players touching the ball. That might be commonplace in other parts of the world, but it's a rare sight, to say the least, for the USMNT.
