When a club has multiple Home Grown Players and Generation adidas players, figuring out the Expansion Draft protection lists usually can be a simple thing. For FC Dallas it continues to be the case as the club has protected 11 players that most fans would have no issue with.
Of the players exposed by Schellas Hyndman, only a couple players seem worth taking a gamble on if you are the Montreal Impact. Bobby Warshaw is a young and upcoming player that is cheap. Then you have internationals like Maicon Santos or Daniel Cruz. Lastly, there is Ricardo Villar, who had a decent season once he figured out how to play in MLS.
The other bit of news from the list is that keeper Josh Lambo has graduated from the Generation adidas program.
Protected: Jair Benitez, Fabian Castillo, Marvin Chavez, Kevin Hartman, Brek Shea, Zach Loyd, George John, Ugo Ihemelu, Jackson Goncalves, David Ferreira, and Andrew Jacobson.
Home Grown/GA: Moises Hernandez, Bryan Levya, Victor Ulloa, Jonathan Top, Richard Sanchez, and Ruben Luna
