For once, the match meant to be the most thrilling of the Serie A week is actually shaping up to be that way. While it's been ten minutes and no one has scored -- how boring! -- the pace is quick and both Udinese and Juventus look threatening. It's the boys in pink that look most set to score, but considering the majority of Udinese goals seem to come after the 60 minute mark, that's not terribly surprising.
After just three minutes, Claudio Marchisio took a chance from the edge of the box, but scuffed it high and wide. Minutes later, Simone Pepe came closer, getting behind the Udinese defense to get a shot in. Danilo managed to get a touch to rescue the ball for a corner. Juventus couldn't figure out how to get past the Udinese defense, with the zebrette finally heading away Giorgio Chiellini's cross to start their customary counter-attack.
Unfortunately for the home side, the five man Juve midfield quickly closed them down, forcing Udinese to play the ball back to Samir Handanovic. After about ten minutes, however, Udinese have managed to grab their share of possession, getting forward to apply pressure on Juventus. Chiellini slipped up, giving the ball to Mauricio Isla, but was rescued when Gigi Buffon came flying out of goal to knock Isla's shot out for the corner.
