Manchester City Transfer Rumors: Eden Hazard Could Move To Eastlands

Manchester City are being linked to a move for Lille's Eden Hazard, but the player would prefer a move to Real Madrid.

Dec 27, 2011 - Manchester City already has David Silva and Samir Nasri, a couple of playmaking wingers who drift inside, on their roster. They also have a forward who can play wide in Mario Balotelli, a true winger in Adam Johnson, and James Milner, who can play wide or in the center of midfield. So, of course, they're chasing Lille starlet Eden Hazard. You know, because they're Manchester City, and they can.

According to Sky Sports, City are interested in buying Hazard in January, but would loan him back to Lille due to that "having five other wide players" thing. Apparently, Hazard's agent is saying that Hazard wants to play for Madrid. However, if Jose Mourinho and Florentino Perez aren't terribly interested, it's hard to believe that Hazard would turn down a move to City. Based on the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo on Madrid's roster and the impeccable form of Angel di Maria, there probably isn't a place at the Santiago Bernabeu for Hazard.
