AC Milan travel to Prague to take on Viktoria Plzeň, who need just a point from the match to clinch third place in Group H and move on to the Europa League.
AC Milan secured second place in UEFA Champions League Group H, although their 2-3 home loss to Barcelona last time around means they're not able to challenge for the top spot with their match against Viktoria Plzeň. The match on Tuesday, then, will be focused on just one reward: the capture of third place in the group.
Plzeň currently sit third in Group H, with four points, picked up by drawing BATE at home and winning away. BATE are last, with just two points, but a win for them, combined with a loss for Plzeň, would see them take third and the opportunity to enter the Europa League.
Unfortunately for BATE, they play Barcelona at the Nou Camp. Sure, Barca have nothing to play for, but even fielding their babies, it should be a walk in the park. Plzeň, meanwhile, just need a draw at home to move on to Europe's second tournament. When the teams met in October at the San Siro, Milan won 2-0, but with the Serie A title race to concentrate on, it's almost certain the rossoneri will field a weaker side, giving their stars a chance to catch their breath.
Let's face it-- that's about all you need to know for this fairly insignificant match.
