Thömas Muller has given Bayern Munich a 2-1 (3-1) lead in just before the half hour mark, giving Bayern Munich a commanding lead on the defending champions. Inter Milan, after evening the tie in the third minute, now find themselves two goals down, with a skillful chip from Müller putting Bayern up two in the 30th minute.

The play started with Arjen Robben, on the ball in the middle of the pitch, playing a ball toward the edge of the penalty area, where Müller was making a run across the top of the box. From there, Müller ran into a ball, the step he had on his mark allow him to take his first touch toward goal. Júlio César came out to cut off his angles, but at 10-yards out Müller had plenty of the goal to work with, using his second touch to chip over the goalkeeper and into the right of goal.

With 120 of 180 minutes played, Bayern is up 3-1, now having one foot in the quarterfinals.
