The laws of the game state that the referee is compelled to stop the game if there's a head injury, which makes Barcelona fury that the game wasn't halted after a knock to Eric Abidal's ankle rather amusing - Arsenal certainly weren't going to stop playing. Tomas Rosicky and Abidal had come together in the Barcelona half, and the defender had come off very much the worse. Eventually the game was blown to a halt, but not before Arsenal had incurred the wrath of pretty much everyone in the stadium by pinging the ball around a bit on the attack.
They've come back into the game a little and managed to earn their first corner (although it should have been a goal kick), which failed to beat the first man. However, Arsenal kept possession and eventually Jack Wilshere was taken out by Javier Mascherano. The game is getting very very unpleasant, with the visitors not exactly playing fair. Robin van Persie probably deserved a red card for a rather unpleasant shove to the face of Dani Alves, but Arsenal still ahve their clean sheet intact and we're into the third minute of first half stoppage time. Not too bad for the Gunners so far.
