Chivas USA Vs. Columbus Crew: Game Ends Scoreless

The Columbus Crew and Chivas USA failed to convert any chance they had last night in a scoreless draw at the Home Depot Center.

Chivas had the bulk of the possession in the first half and were able to create some positive chances on Will Hesmer's goal but in the end nothing was getting by the Crew keeper. The game ended up seeing both clubs rely on counter-attack style of offense to create chances. The ball was won and lost in the midfield time and time again by both sides and towards the end neither were maintaining longs spells of possession.

The best chance for the Crew came in the 58th minute as Emilio Renteria found himself on a breakaway chance only to be stopped by rookie Zarek Valentin, who was back from international duty with the US U-20 national team.

Chivas threw some decent chances on goal in the second half and Health Pearce's header in the 90th minute nearly broke the scoring deadlock.
