Humberto Suazo Putting Off Surgery, May Be Available For CONCACAF Champions League Final, Report Says

Looks like Monterrey's Humberto Suazo is going to put off shoulder surgery, meaning there's still a chance he'll be able to play in the CONCACAF Champions League final against Real Salt Lake. FMF State of Mind, SB Nation's Mexican soccer blog, relayed the report that originated out of Suazo's native Chile:

Not having surgery means Suazo will return to Monterrey within the next week. It also means he may be available for next Wednesday’s CONCACAF Champions League final against Real Salt Lake. Chilean national team manger Claudio Borghi is reportedly unhappy with the decision. Borghi has stated that his concerns are all long term, and he most wants to see a 100% healthy Suazo back in the Chile uniform for upcoming World Cup qualifiers, even at the expense of missing Copa America. With Suazo retuning to Monterrey, it is still unclear how close he will be to full strength over the final few weeks of the season. The injury has kept him in considerable pain since re-aggravating it back in February.
