Current St. Pauli manager Holger Stanislawski is Hoffenheim-bound. Just days after he announced that he'd be departing the relegation-threatened side, Stanislawski has, as expected, revealed that he would be moving to Hoffenheim in the summer on a three year deal:
Of course it is difficult after such a long time to leave Hamburg. I still think that it is time for me to address a new and exciting challenge.
The talks with leaders in Hoffenheim have absolutely convinced me. I look forward to the new environment and the upcoming season with Hoffenheim. Nevertheless, I am fully focused on the season's run-in and the league with St Pauli before I approach my new job.
Hoffenheim's previous coach Ralf Rangnick designed in January after the club authorised the sale of defender Luiz Gastavo to Bayern Munich. Assistant coach Marco Pezzaiuoli has taken over in the interim - he will be returning to his role as assistant as soon as Stanislawski joins the team at the end of the season.
