Copa Del Rey Final, Real Madrid Vs. Barcelona 2011: Barca Goal Disallowed As Pedro Offside By A Whisker

In the 66th minute Messi with his first great chance just outside the box. A nice touch from Xavi set him up, but his shot is high and over the crossbar.

This half looks nothing like the first 45 minutes. Gone is the midfield control by Real Madrid and the clever runs by Ronaldo and Özil. Instead we're seeing Xavi and Messi putting their stamp on play. Lots of credit to the Madrid central defenders who have been stellar tonight, making quick decisions and stepping in to the Barcelona passing lanes at just the right moments.

Messi made a tremendous run and sprung Pedro on the left side. Pedro buried his shot past Casillas, but before the Catalans could celebrate, the linesman had his flag up, ruling the play offsides. Replay showed it was very close, but it looked to be the right call.

Emmanuel Adebayor replaced Mesut Özil in the 69th minute. Solid performance from the German tonight.
